Risso's dolphin in water

Moss Landing Marine Labs students also assist the Monterey County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (S.P.C.A) and The Marine Mammal Center (TMMC) with live strandings. This Risso's dolphin was transported to Long Marine Lab but died within 12 hours of her initial stranding (March 1991). The California Seal Lion, "Biscuit", was rescued on 2/6/03, you can read about him and TMMC's other patients here.
